Calling All Singles!

The First Baptist Church of Clover has created a “Singles Department”

Dedicated to help meet the needs of Singles in today’s world.

There are 2 Singles’ Sunday School classes open for all who would like to join us.
 

1. The College and Career class meets in the Knox Building at 11:00 AM.
(the white stand-alone building facing Knox Street
across the parking lot from the main church building)
John and Annette Fitch are the leaders.

2. A "more mature" singles class meets in Room D-207 at 9:30 AM.
Richard and Linda Pettus are the leaders.

Greeters are scattered throughout the church campus each Sunday to guide you to your destination, and/or follow the signs posted along the way.

The Singles Ministry at FBC welcomes single and single-again adults of all Christian faiths and denominations. Our approach is threefold AND open to new ideas:

1. Wednesday night Bible and/or book study @ 6:30 PM
The focus of our studies is to not only learn the scriptures as they apply to all followers of Jesus, but specifically how to live them as single adults. The Five Love Languages for Singles by Gary Chapman is one example of Christian literature targeted specifically to singles' issues and concerns, AND encourages lively discussions. :>)
 

Wednesday night was chosen for these studies for two specific reasons:

a. Dinner is available and served in the C.O.A.C. with advance reservations through the FBC office (803) 222-3216. For those of us coming straight from work, this can be a huge help.
b. Quality instructional Christian childcare is available during our class time.
 

2. Singles Mingles
Once a quarter, FBC hosts the Singles Mingle in the COAC. Begun in July 2005, the mingle is designed to give the Christian singles of our area an evening of food, fun, fellowship and meet ‘n greet opportunities. All Christian denominations are invited.

Reservations are not required. Admission is Free.

A light supper is provided along with fun activities to enhance mingling.
 

Friday, April 25th @ 7:00 PM is the Spring Singles Mingle.

If you would like to bring a dessert to share, please do, but if you can’t, don’t let that stop you from coming! Bring friends or come alone and meet new friends here. Either way, you’ll feel at home and have a fun evening! And make sure you introduce yourself to Linda!
 

Unfortunately, child care is not available. There just has not been a need for it so far.

3. Outings
Day and/or evening trips are planned as ideas and interest arise.
